Madelyn Merrick '23 Recruiting Profile

Starting to play in Germany at a very young age, I grew to love soccer immediately. The passion has carried me through many challenges in life, and enabled me to make connections with teammates across the US that will last a lifetime. I discovered I could lead through my play. I want to play competitively at a high level for as long as I can, and study psychology as my major. I enjoy being apart of something larger than myself and working hard towards a common goal. I perform well under pressure and can make an impact. 

During the spike of covid I truly realized how much soccer has impacted my life. The absence of training pushed me to work even more on my own, creating me to be a self-disciplined player. I began to quickly see progress in my skills and my determination grow tremendously. I made it a priority to put my development first, while setting an example for others to follow. I look forward to achieving my goals, and making my dream a reality.
