Hi, my name is Kayley Rodriguez and I have been playing soccer since I was 3 years old and for as long as I can remember I have always loved playing soccer, one of the main reasons being the amount of passion I have for this sport. Playing soccer has made me improve not only as a player but as a person. It has taught me more about teamwork, sportsmanship, commitment, resilience, perseverance, and to be confident in myself. I owe this to my coaches and my teammates who have always pushed me to be better because they believe I can do better. My collegiate goal is to grow as both a student and an athlete by excelling in the classroom and on the soccer field. What sets me apart is my relentless drive, perseverance, and commitment. I always strive to work harder and challenge myself academically and on the soccer field because of the amount of dedication I have for this sport and my academics. I’m not just focused on my individual improvement but on lifting others and helping my teammates achieve their goals. I worked hard to play how I play because I want to be the best player on the field. I’m a left footed winger but I can adapt and play any position my team needs me to play. I’d say my biggest strengths are my dribbling skills, passing, shooting, ball control, and my awareness on the field. I want to keep playing soccer for as long as I can because playing soccer means everything to me whenever I step out onto that field. I know that all the effort and hard work I put in will help me achieve this goal.
