Julia Podchaiski '19 Recruiting Profile

    Soccer has been a passion of mine ever since I started. I began at the in-house level and started working my way up as I improved my skill. Soccer isn’t an individual sport, it’s a team sport. Working with a team is one of the biggest reasons I love playing. Playing a competitive game with your 10 best friends is the greatest thing in the world. Knowing I can count on someone; and someone can count on me is an amazing feeling.

    When I work with a team, I always try to help everyone give 110%, including myself, since that is what makes you better; putting in all your effort. My main focus is to keep playing my best, to always try something new, and to always push myself and my teammates to the limit no matter what. I always try to do a new move in a game because you don’t know how effective something is, until you try it. By trying new things, my skill gets increasingly better, which helps me push myself even more than I was before. I plan to focus on science, specifically biology at whichever college I choose.
