Sierra McElhannon '24 Recruiting Profile

My name is Sierra McElhannon and I’m a 2024 graduate.  I play for Surf Soccer Club in Oahu, Hawaii.  During high school season, I play for James Campbell high school.

I proudly wear jersey #12 and I currently play defensive midfield, outside midfielder and outside back.  I am always looking to play other positions to make myself more valuable to my team. 

I currently have a 4.0 GPA for all three years at Hawaii Technology Academy.  My academics are very important to me. 

I grew up playing soccer starting at age 5.  I have enjoyed playing soccer recreationally to get extra touches as well as on a club team to be more challenged.  Having both options enable me to have many opportunities to play with a variety of skill sets and for coaches with different philosophies.

I’m a very enthusiastic player both on and off the field and am always interested in learning more and more about how to better myself physically, tactically, technically, and mentally. I have a strong drive and always tell myself to never give up even when times are hard. I pride myself on my high work rate -- I feel I bring a high level of intensity and stamina to my training and in games.  Being a good teammate is something I constantly work hard at.  Cheering all players on during success and in times of challenge.

Every day, I try to be the best person I can be and share God's love through my actions. I enjoy serving my community as a youth coach for a 3 and under soccer program. 

After high school, I hope to combine my love for soccer and an interest in the health field to explore either athletic training or psychology. I’m excited to contribute both academically and athletically to a college.  I am passionate and committed to the things that I sign up for.
