Caitlyn Burgess '23 Recruiting Profile

I have been playing soccer since the age of 3, and have always aspired to be a collegiate athlete. Many different sports were a huge part of my life as I grew up, but nothing really stuck with me like soccer.  Growing up, I have usually played a Center Back and continue to, but I have also transitioned to be an exceptional Center Defensive Midfielder. I am a very versatile player and would be able to fit in any position offered.

I am a very dedicated player even between keeping up with my grades to receive a 4.63 GPA through my success in all honors and AP classes, various clubs at high school, and being a soccer referee as well as a soccer coach.  At my high school, I am involved in Student Council, National Honors Society, Interact Club, Read for a Lifetime, and Sports Med Club. I firmly believe that my involvement in all of these clubs is shaping me to be a better leader, which is an aspect that greatly translates to the field as well.

From working in the classroom to playing on the field, my strong work ethic is what has kept me strong and led me to much success over the years. Being coachable is another one of my strong suits, as I am always trying my best to improve, so I gladly take any feedback that I can get from a coach to apply it to my game.

I am looking for a school that will continue to push me in my academic and athletic career and that I can call my new soccer family! I look forward to speaking with you in the future!
