I currently play in the Alberta Youth Soccer League (AYSL) which is a premier league for top players in the province. I have been a starter at Left Full Back for the last 2 years and routinely play 90 mins a game. I have also been asked on occasion to play winger due to injuries or situational circumstances.
I have also been invited to participate in the Vancouver Whitecaps 2022 'Caps to College' program in which select players born between 2005-2007 are invited to receive specialized training through the Whitecaps Academy and have the opportunity to participate in Showcase events and combines. As this program is by invite only, I feel privileged that I am one of only a select number of players who have been selected to participate.
I am a natural leftie but can use both feet for shooting, passing and finishing. My coaches have stated that I have an extremely good work rate and that I am technically proficient both on ball and off ball.
I pride myself on knowing that despite my short stature I am routinely expected to take the best players. I offer consistent defensive coverage across the flank and also support my team in attack and in linking the midfield and forwards.
My coaches believe that I have all of the trait's scouts would want in a fullback. I can anticipate the game, have great crossing ability, always mark my opponents, have great pace and stamina, possess great tackling ability and a good sense of timing runs. Most importantly I have great sense responsibility to my teammates and the game itself.
I am currently in Grade 10 and have maintained a 4.0 GPA through Junior High (middle school) and in my first year in High School. I have consistently made Honors with Excellence / Distinction with my grades and am a firm believer that academics play a key role in my growth potential.
As for what life holds for me when I graduate, I have always been interested in Forensic Sciences and my hope is to attend a university and become a Forensic Pathologist and obtaining my PHD.
