Personal Statement

My goal is to find a college program that will help me to continue to develop as a player and which has a strong academic Liberal Arts program.
I have been playing soccer since I was 5, played competitively since I was 8 and committed to playing as a goalkeeper at 10.  Since then, I have continued to take extra GK coaching, as well as my club training, to develop the technical skills to make me the best goalkeeper that I can be.
I am very coachable and look to challenge myself by playing on club teams that will push me to develop further, including having played in older age groups for the past 3 seasons
At school, I have a strong academic record and received the Honour Roll for at Middle School and in Grades 9, 10 & 11.  I have played four years of Varsity Field Hockey - captaining the team to the Junior HSSAA Championship in 2015, and playing on the Varsity team that won bronze in the OFSAA Provincial Tournament in 2016, and silver in 2017;  I hold the school record for goals scored.  I played on the Junior Varsity soccer team, playing outfield in 2015 and goalkeeper in 2016, and was a member of the 2017 Track and Field team, participating in the shot and javelin.

I volunteer with the Burlington Reach Out Centre for Kids (ROCK) Youth Aiding Youth program, mentoring a special needs child.
