My name is Shealbie Whatley, and I am a sophomore center back/outside back currently transferring from Louisiana State University at Alexandria.
I have consistently honed my various skills as a player, achieving Red River Athletic Conference All-Freshman team in the Fall of 2023 as a center defensive midfielder, appearing in sixteen games and starting in two. In Fall 2024, I received Red River Athletic Conference Honorable Mention as a center back and outside back, appearing in nineteen games and starting in eighteen. In both seasons, I helped lead my team to the Conference tournament final, winning the Conference tournament final in 2023. In high school, I received various honors all seven years I played, including All-District, All-CENLA, All-State, and several MVP awards. Academically, I maintain a 3.5 GPA, and I will be pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering at the University of Lafayette in the Spring of 2025.
My attributes off the field also make me a great fit for your team. At LSUA, I was nominated by my teammates to be on our leadership team, helping to align efforts to our individual and team goals, drive growth, maintain our team’s overall health, and lead by example.
