I have had a single-minded goal to play college soccer since I was 11 years old. At that time, I committed to train with passion, train extra, and train harder than my peers. I'm first to the field and the last to leave. I want to excel not only in soccer, but in academics. Soccer has prepared me for my college experience because it requires hard work, time-management, and effort.
Team wise, I am looking for a program that plays with high intensity, builds from the back, and plays the ball on the ground. From experience in club ball, this allows me to help my team by playing from the back to move the ball up the field, maintain possession, and use the defense as a springboard to the offense. I have power and full ability to use both feet equally. I am a physical player and use my speed and strength to make runs up the side and cross/feed balls to my teammates.
What makes me different than Susie Soccer? I have always had to work hard at soccer and in school. We currently drive over an hour back and forth to New Orleans from Baton Rouge three days a week, leaving at 4:00 and returning at 9:45 because I wanted to play at the highest level possible in the state of Louisiana. It requires planning and preparedness academically and physically. I also train privately on non-club practice days. This is my edge. Nothing was ever given to me. I am not afraid of hard work, a challenge, am undeterred by a defeat, and I never stop or give up until I accomplish my goal...on or off the field.
