Laney Roberts '23 Recruiting Profile

My name is Laney Roberts. I am currently a senior at Ponchatoula High School (class of 2023). Throughout my years at PHS I have maintained a 3.9 cumulative GPA. I have been starting for varsity since my freshman year. I play any offensive position whether it’s striker, center mid, or outside mid. I am also a member of PBFC Rush, which is a team out of Period Bay Florida. In my past 3 years on varsity I have kept up with the amount of goals I have scored. I have scored around 50 goals and had many assists for my high school team. I was chosen as captain for my senior year and I was also selected for second team all district my sophomore and junior year. I am currently

on a U19 elite team. I play in any offensive position for this team. I have been playing soccer since I was 4 and I started playing on a travel/select team when I was 10. I have tried many other sports but I always knew my heart and future was with soccer. Soccer has been a huge part of my life for as long as I can remember. Playing soccer and still maintaining a high GPA throughout my whole life has taught me how to take responsibility and be held accountable for the things I want in life. I would say that I am a very hard worker and always strive to do my best. I am constantly working to get better whether I am at practice, at the gym, or just in my own backyard. I will continue to work hard because I know there is always room for improvement. I hope to work my way up to playing at the next level in the future.
