Hi,
My name is Katsy Murphy a well-rounded and achieved student and athlete from Marshfield Massachusetts, and I've been playing soccer since I could stand, and I've always had a soccer ball at my feet. As an athlete and a student, I am hardworking, caring, funny, and determined to work for my goals and desires and I am a strong, valuable, confident player. As a midfielder I make plays through to my forwards, or back to my defense for them to play it up the field, progressing toward the goal. Both on and off the field I have chemistry with my team and feel I can easily connect with anyone given the opportunity. As a student, I take pride in my academics, as well as athletics, and really work hard for them, and the person and player I have become.
I've always tried things I've never done before and when I tried soccer for the first time, for real, at the club level I fell in love. While trying something new, I tore my ACL 2 years ago in a college ID clinic trying to prove my worth and overall love for the sport. No matter the journey I've gone through as well as the battle I have been in love with the sport ever since. My goal as a player on and off the field is to grow physically, as well as mentally. Learning the game inside and out.
I think I am different from other players because I have always had a mindset where in order to be the best you must think and act like the best. If you believe in yourself then other people must, Right? Not only with my athletic achievements but also in my academics and my character as a person. I consider myself an approachable and positive person who is not afraid of hard work, responsibility, and challenges, given the opportunity I can handle anything thrown my way with a smile on my face. I want to play in college to make memories of a lifetime as well as learning valuable life skills while playing what I love to do.
Thank you for taking the time out of your day to read this.
Sincerely,
Katsy Murphy
