Personal Statement
My name is Sara Taloumis, I’m a determined hard working student athlete that loves improving. I started soccer when I was about 3 years old and i absolutely loved it. I played for rec teams and just enjoyed the game but as I got older more opportunities arrived that I didnt know about. I joined a club team and it was hard transitioning to a strict high pace environment but little did I know that it was the start of my passion for soccer long term. I wanted to get better, so I went out of my way and analyzed games of professionals along with other schools to see how certain positions play along with the team as a whole. Doing that opened my mind and made me a better player, it was like reading a textbook for a test but enjoyable. I started asking around for a trainer or someone that really can teach me new things and train hard. The group I joined not only pushed me to my absolute limit to the point where I was frustrated the first week, but also boosted my confidence and found what a fierce player I was developing into. I discovered that passion and drive to not stop and realized I wanted to pursue college soccer in my sophomore year of high school. Having that balance of education and playing soccer is important to me and I have made it a part of who I am today.
