Hi, I'm Julia Adent, and I live in the small town of St. Joseph in Southwest Michigan. I've been playing soccer since I was four, and have been playing club soccer since I was nine. I have done multiple camps at Notre Dame, participated in ODP training, and had the opportunity to play on two Super Y teams in the summer. Although I’m ambidextrous, I consider myself left-footed. Throughout my career as a soccer player, I have played all different positions, but I find that I play best at center mid.
I think what makes me stand out is my ability as both a team leader and the team “clown.” I’m captain of the JV Soccer Team and I take my games and practices very seriously, yet I still find time to pick up my other teammates when they’re feeling down, and crack a joke here and there. I am the voice on the field, constantly telling my teammates when they make a great play, and suggesting other things to do when they make a not-so-good play. I like to think of myself as a great team player, which is both a blessing and a curse. I’m more likely to pass it off then to take an open shot-which is definitely one of my flaws on the soccer field.
When I am not playing soccer, I am a student at St. Joseph High School. My grades are just as much important to me as soccer; I am an honors student and have a 3.9 GPA. In my free time, I enjoy practicing my foot skills, reading, and hanging out with my friends. It has always been my dream to play soccer in college and beyond. I'm just so passionate towards this sport, and I hope that my hard work and positive attitude will help make my dream a reality.
