My name is Caitlyn McBeth. I have been playing soccer since I was 3 years old. Since I first stepped on the field, I have loved the game.
I am 16 years old and a junior at South Lyon High School. This spring will be my 2nd year on my high school varsity soccer team as the starting goalkeeper. I have played club soccer for 9 years, for the last two years I have been with the Michigan Hawks and have played for them 4 years in total.
I have been a full-time goalkeeper since I was 10 years old, I have excellent hands, ball handling skills, great vision, and communication skills. I believe my positive attitude, dedication, confidence, commitment, and relaxed demeanor are reasons why I am a leader amongst my fellow goalkeepers.
In the classroom, I have the same determination and work ethic that I do on the field. I study hard an maintain a high GPA, all while taking advanced placement and honors classes. I am very active in my school as a member of the National Honor Society, Yearbook and Link Crew. I am also a 3-year Varsity letter winner on my high school Swim team.
I know that playing in college is a great opportunity that could change my whole life, so I want to attend a college that will challenge me both academically and athletically. I am open to all options and ultimately want to find the right college match that allows me to follow my passion.
