Claire Stam '25 Recruiting Profile

Hi, my name is Claire Stam. I am currently a senior at Eureka High School in the St. Louis metro area.  I have been playing soccer since pre-school and love the sport.  The club team I have played on since second grade has provided opportunities for great competition and experience, moving up from the St. Louis region SLYSA league to playing in the top division in the USYS Midwest Region Conference, then moving into ECNL RL Heartland Conference a couple of years ago. We competed in Missouri State Cup, winning the championship in 2024 and finished as a semi-finalist in 2022.  This past year we competed in ECNL RL Regional playoffs and USYS Nationals.  As a junior starter on my high school team, we had made a run to the State championship, finishing 2nd in a tough loss in double OT.  I was very proud to be selected All District for last season.  Overall, I feel that I am a well-rounded, versatile player with the ability to play multiple positions (mostly I play midfield and outside back).   I am also strong academically.  I enjoy learning and have done well in school as demonstrated by my transcripts.  My goal is to pursue nursing - hopefully in pediatrics.   I like being involved in activities at school and feel that my strong work ethic helps drive me in both athletics and academics.   I enjoy the competition, teamwork and friendships that soccer has created and I would like to try continue that experience in college.
