Halley Redd- Soph...My name is Halley Redd and I am currently 16 years old. Sports has always been my passion, but i understand that education is the key element to my future, which I take very seriously. My love for sports started at the age of 3 when I started playing soccer; My parents, who are my biggest inspiration, noticed my natural athleticism and enthusiasm for competitive sports and decided to get me involved at a young
Team sports and the drive to become better led me to venture into other sports such as basketball, which i started around 11 years old. With no experience, i made the middle school basketball team and went on to take runner up in our schools division championship. In addition to athletics, I also strive to excel in academics where i currently have a 4.0 GPA (has never fallen below 3.6). I am currently enrolled in accelerated classes and am also a member and secretary of the National Junior Honor Society. The NJHS is an international student organization that consists of chapters in middle schools, where we do volunteer service hours, organize school events, etc. I was the first of six in my whole 5th grade to complete the Great American Challenge, which I feel like is one of my greatest academic accomplishments.
While pursuing in my interest in Law I am very eager to learn, grow and be challenged even further. I realize the importance of being able to multitask and that when i do graduate, i will have to balance school, sports, personal life, and an array of other things. My ultimate goal is to get a law degree, which I hope can get paid for by my athletic and academic abilities. On the field I plan to be a dynamic player and positive influence on the team. As I grow both physically and mentally throughout my college career, I will strive to be an asset whether it be in the goalie box or in the field. Most importantly, I will conduct myself with honor and respect on and off the field, knowing that the way I carry myself reflects my team, my coaches, and the school I attend.
