Riley Coopersmith '15 Recruiting Profile

I am a 5'5" midfielder from Hunterdon County, NJ and will graduate in 2015.  My freshman year I made Varsity soccer at my Group 4 high school and started and played almost every minute of every game at Defensive Center Mid. I have a 3.75 GPA on a 4.0 scale and a weighted GPA of 3.9.

I play for the GFSC Flames, a team that is consistently ranked in the top 5 Nationally in the GotSoccer rankings.

I am very good in the air and equally strong with my left foot and right foot.  I am a righty, but when my HS coach awarded me a starting position my freshman year, she mistakenly thought I was lefty.  I have an extremely good work rate, and can play the entire game at midfield.  I am also multidimensional as I am strong at Center Mid, Left and Right Outside Mid, and Center D.

My goals are to play soccer in college and continue improving as a person and player.  I have great time-management skills to keep up with the busy schedule of sports, academics, and extracurricular activities. I know I can succeed at a highly respected academic school which has a strong soccer program.  It is important to me to go somewhere I will play a great role on the team on and off the field. One of my  major soccer goals is to play in the NCAA tournament.   I hope to major in pre-med or biology and go into a career in the medical field.
