Leadership, courage, and proactivity are principles that I try my hardest to uphold in my day-to-day life, and more importantly, my soccer career. Leadership is needed to unite one team to one common goal. Without it, the lack of communication can be detrimental to the team. Courage is needed to willingly go for the ball and not hesitate in any circumstance. Without it, you may find yourself running away from the ball so you don’t make a mistake. Proactivity is needed, especially in the recruitment process, to make yourself a step ahead of everyone else. Without it, we don’t give ourselves a chance. These three principles can turn an “alright” athlete into an amazing one.
My name is Ivana Sfikas and I’m a part of the Class of 2024. I plan on studying either Architecture or Civil Engineering in college. My main position is a left outside back. I’ve been playing soccer for four years and have consistently made Varsity every year. My goal is to play for a DI, DII, or DIII school throughout my college career; I don’t make a fuss as long as I can do what I love: play soccer. Lastly, I consider myself both academically strong as well as athletically. I am enrolled in 5 APs for my upcoming Senior year and have held Honor Roll for every quarter I’ve attended high school. Athletically, I work out routinely and practice my soccer skills as often as I can. I would be a great addition to your roster, and thank you!
