Personal Statement
My name is Emma DeAngelis and I live in Montville, New Jersey. I am a member of the class of 2023 at Montville Township High School and play on their varsity soccer team. I also play for a club team, Princeton Soccer Association, and have been there for a year. Prior to Princeton Soccer Association, I played on TSF Academy for around 7 years.
I have been named captain of my club team which came with many responsibilities, including demonstrating leadership, hard work, determination, and amiability. My main positions for soccer are right back and left back as well as outside mid and forward if needed. During my TSF Academy seasons, I attended tournaments including San Marino Cup (2018), Jefferson Cup, and CASL. At all of these tournaments we brought home a trophy as first place winners.
I am interested in majoring in Pre- Medicine or Biology so I can pursue my dream job as an Orthopedic Surgeon. I am in a variety of clubs at my school, including St. Judes club, Make a Wish club, and Red Cross club. I also volunteered as a soccer coach to help train kindergarteners to be their best. My current GPA is 3.7 and I intend to improve through my three more years of high school.
I feel I am a great asset to my teams and feel that my aggressiveness and awareness offers the best for my team. I connect with my teammates and push to my goal of playing college soccer.
