Alexandra Dorrego '23 Recruiting Profile

My name is Alexandra ("Ali") Dorrego and I am part of the 2023 class at the Morristown Beard School in Morristown NJ.  To share a bit about myself, I have been playing soccer since I was in kindergarten and playing club soccer since 3rd grade.  I am a versatile player who can play multiple positions.  My primary position is center midfield but, when needed, I am often called upon to play center back for both my high school varsity team and club team.  On occasion, I have also been asked and have played other positions, such as center forward and fullback.  I have been a starter for my high school's varsity team since the start of my freshman season and have consistently been one of the leaders in minutes played.  This past high school season, due to injuries on the team, I was asked to move from my center midfield role and was called upon to play center back exclusively.  Despite being unable to play in my primary position, I was still able to earn All-Conference honors.

My goal is to continue to play soccer for a top-tier academic college when I graduate next year.  I like to consider myself a true student athlete, with a heavy focus on academics.  I finished my sophomore year with a perfect 4.00 GPA, consistently earning honors across nearly all subjects, and making the Head of School's List every semester.  I have received my school's "excellence in chemistry" award and was inducted into my school's chapter of the mathematics honor society.
