Julia Rath '23 Recruiting Profile

Soccer has been a huge part of my life for as long as I can remember. Being put into a youth program at a young age has engraved a spot for this sport forever. My family has been soccer fans for many years before me, with multiple family members playing in college and beyond. This has impacted my outlook on the sport on many different levels. Seeing others succeed before myself sets a standard that I hope to one day fufill, and allowing for these people to become role models that I  have looked up to over the years.

The social aspect along with the physical, has allowed me to create many long lasting friendships, and has created many opportunities for me to grow and continue to learn my craft. Every club I have played on has set different levels of expectations that push me harder and harder each day. With the more recent events such as Covid 19 and social succlusion, I have had a lot of time to reflect and think about the choices that I want to make in the next coming seasons before college. And it is clear that I want to continue playing soccer as an outlet as it has been for the last 11 years. And I hope to continue to make as many lifelong memories as I can in my next chapter!
