Hi! My name is Sofia Smith and I'm a sophomore at the School of the Holy Child in Rye, NY. I have been playing soccer for about 8 yrs and have loved every year playing. I've played with my high school's varsity soccer team since I was a freshman and play for NY Extreme FC. I am definitely committed to playing soccer collegiately, wherever that may be. Soccer has shaped into more courageous, confident, humorous, hard-working, and ambitious person in everyday life. My goal is inspire others and spark the feeling soccer gives me among younger women soccer players. I grew up with many supportive coaches and other adults that encouraged me to continue with this sport and made me feel like I had a purpose. I want other aspiring athletes and young people to know that they have purpose and playing with many different teams left with this feeling.
