My name is Layla Johnson and I’m a 133 pound, hardworking, 5’ 7” fast center, back and forward who is truly dedicated to soccer. I have consistently been a starter on both the Muskogee High School varsity team and my club team, WSA South 01, since my freshman year. One of my biggest accomplishments was being nominated MVP and All District on my high school team.
When it comes to choosing a college, I would like to attend an institution where I can find the right balance between the classroom and the field. Ideally, that will be a university with a great Biology or Marine Bioligy program in Oklahoma or one of its surrounding states [Texas, Missouri, Kansas or Arkansas].
Financial assistance is quite important to me in the college selection process, as I do not want to create a financial burden for my family. To that end, I would be willing to travel farther to a school with less out-of-pocket expense.
My realistic athletic goals are to continue playing the sport I love at a high competitive level, make a positive impact on the team, and build life-long friendships.
