Pursuing the game of soccer at the college level has always been a dream of mine. I am a very dedicated person, and I believe that playing with passion and focus shapes the character of the way that I play. Along with my dedication I also play very vocally and I like to be a leader on the field and communicate to my teammates while encouraging them along the way. I believe that positive communication and encouragement makes the team atmosphere more enjoyable for everybody, so I try to stay positive on and off the field even when the team is in a tight spot.
Although I am focused on playing soccer in college, I believe that school should come before athletics. I am very focused on my school work and pride myself on working hard in the classroom. Athletics is a reward for good academics, so if you can't preform well in the classroom, then how are you suppose to preform well on the field. I also am planning on majoring in biology in college in hope to become a physicians assistant.
Outside of school and soccer I am also a member of my high school track and field team where I run 300 meter hurdles and throw javelin. I also am a member of Big Brother Big Sister, volunteer with the IU program, and look to volunteer in the community whenever I can.
