The most influential piece of my soccer experience occurred at the beginning of my competitive career as a U11 player. I was placed on the "B Team" and would get flustered and irritated because of the level of play. This lead me to consistently work harder to reach the next level of play. After a few months, I worked my way onto the "A Team," but only through hard work, dedication, and perseverance.
Through soccer, I have learned many essential parts about myself that I would not have learned through any other experience. Soccer has changed my life by providing me with the value of leadership, commitment, teamwork, and sacrifice. I have learned that in order to accomplish your aspirations in life, such as playing collegiate soccer, you have to be willing to risk it all for your dreams. On another note, I am continuously reaching for excellence in my academic life as I am planning on pursuing a career in the medical field. As I grow both mentally and physically, I hope to make a positive impact on my future school and teammates by being a dynamic player in both communities.
