Lindsay Williams '27 Recruiting Profile

Dear Coaches,

My name is Lindsay Williams, and I am primarily a Central Midfielder and Center Back. I attend Providence Academy in Johnson City, Tennessee. I am 5'6" and 130 lbs. My mile time is 6:04.61 and my two-mile time is 12:47.00.

I played in Colorado for St. Vrain FC (who recently merged with REAL Colorado) for two years until our family moved to Tennessee when I was twelve. For the past three years, I have played for Tri-Cities United Soccer Club. This season, I am playing for One Knox 09 GA in Knoxville and I am playing for Tri-Cities United. I travel two hours to practice for One Knox on Monday and Wednesday and thirty minutes on Tuesday and Thursday. I have grown so much at One Knox, and I absolutely love it! I scored 11 goals and had 10 assists for One Knox. This past summer, I played for the One Knox USL Academy team where I learned a lot from my older teammates (I was the youngest on the team), some of whom have played in college for a few years.

During my freshman year at Providence, I scored 15 goals which made me the leading goal scorer as a Center Midfielder and Center Forward. I was named to the 1st Team All-Region and the Blue Ridge Classic All-Tournament Team. This fall, I scored 15 goals and had 12 assists. I was also named to the Blue Ridge Classic All-Tournament Team, 1st Team All-District, and I was the District MVP as a sophomore. During my last club season for the 08/09 Tri-Cities United Girls Premier, I learned how to play Center Back due to our team losing two players of that position. I was then named to the 2008 Girls D2 State Cup All-Tournament Team. I have also participated in basketball, swimming, cross-country, and track. I was all-state in cross-country and track last year and hold school records in track and swimming.

Academically, I have a 4.31 weighted GPA, and I am taking all honors classes. I have taken 2 Dual Enrollment classes and am currently in 2 and APUSH. I plan on taking more dual-enrollment and AP classes in the future. I have a 30 on my act and I am very academically driven and I never let my grades slip. I am not sure what I would like to major in yet, but I am looking somewhere in the engineering, computer science, or math/science areas.

I am constantly looking for new ways to be challenged and I am a very hard worker. I have the diversity to play any position in the middle. Some of my strengths are playing through balls, hustling back on defense, technicality and footwork, and constantly working my hardest. I love going to practices and games and soccer is always the highlight of my day. I always look forward to training and I have so much fun playing soccer. I truly love the sport.

I want to continue my soccer career into college and beyond. I love playing and I want to play as long as possible. I am open to any division and any type of school. I am so excited to see where my college soccer career takes me!
