I want to play soccer at college and enjoy being a young adult in a college setting. I am not completely decided on a major, but I do like psychology. After college I plan to join the Navy and then later become a high school teacher and soccer coach. I have played soccer since I was 4 years old starting with recreational leagues then moving to school teams. I have always played defense and usually play outside defense. I have been a back-up goalie for my high school team, and I have also played mid and forward, but my strengths and skillset are defense. I understand the need to protect the goal, I know how to listen to my goalie, and I know how to read the field in order to make quick decisions.
I have a 4.1 GPA and am a go-getter. I am in NJROTC at my high school and in my first year, as a junior, won the Daughters of the American Revolution award as well as a top cadet award. In my 2nd year of NJROTC (senior year) I earned a leadership position and am a Squad Leader as well as in charge of Logistics Supply. My teachers will tell you I am independent, strong, and reliable. I work hard and want to earn my place, not have it given to me.
I became a Christian in 2021 and have a strong relationship with God and am firm in my faith. I am looking at both Christian and secular schools and hope to find where I fit, can learn and grow, and can play soccer and learn how to become the coach I want to be.
