Personal Statement

Hi, my name is Caroline Patton.  My NCAAID# is 2105171779.

They say everything is bigger and better in Texas and growing up in Dallas I can see why.  Soccer is a great example with so many great players who arguably are the best in the country. I am so blessed and thankful to have the abundance of soccer resources and support to thrive right here in my backyard. From the start my parents signed me up for everything you can imagine including ballet, baseball, gymnastics, swim team, lacrosse, basketball, softball, track, cross country, and soccer.  Hands down, the one sport that I was truly passionate for has been soccer.  I have been playing soccer since I was 3 and started playing competitive soccer at the age of 6.  I have had the joy and privilege of playing with some amazing players, coaches, and clubs over the years. I understand the mental and physical commitment, determination, strength, and discipline it takes to play college soccer.  I am excited about my future next step and pursuing my dream of playing in college.

I am a smart, skilled player that reads the field well.  I am always anticipating where the ball and the players are going next.  I have great passing skills and accurate strong kicks.  Along with that, I am a team leader (club and high school Captain) and try to set an example for the rest of my peers, on and off the field. I try to offer positive motivation to my teammates and encourage their success. My personality leaves me very coachable as I am a good listener and a quiet thinker.

I attend an all-girls college preparatory high school with a very rigorous curriculum.  In the classroom, I study very hard and withhold a 3.8 GPA. I am also actively involved in in other programs outside soccer including multiple clubs and service organizations.  My goal is to attend a college where I can challenge myself both academically and athletically. I am open to ALL options and want to ultimately find the college that is best fit for me. I look forward to what I can bring to a team and my future college.
