WHO AM I?
My name is Ashley Buck; I am still growing, currently 5’-7” and 115 Lbs. Because I am a late bloomer and had to play against girls who had already matured I had to excel tactically and technically to be able to play. Now that I am growing I hope to be the complete package with size, speed and excellent tactical and technical abilities.
I am in 11th grade and a 2016 graduate of Juan Diego Catholic HS with a 3.95+ GPA playing for the Utah Avalanche soccer club. For over a decade I have played competition soccer with the Utah Avalanche Club. I am currently on their U17 ECNL team, a three year varsity starter on the Juan Diego Catholic Girls Varsity Team and five year starter on the 97 Utah ODP team. I am a very versatile player with no weak foot. My primary position is Center/Attacking Mid and Set-Pieces and secondary position is Forward, Defensive Mid or Center Back.
WHAT TYPE OF PLAYER AM I?
I would like to share my game philosophy with you. It can be summarized as; first - control the game by winning the midfield and controlling the ball, second – being a box to box player, third – always put my team in scoring position and fourth – always finish any opportunity given to me.
I am a highly technical player with speed and a high soccer IQ. I am a tactically sound player who hasn’t reached her full potential and will continue to grow stronger physically, mentally, technically and tactically through their college career. I can play both ends of the field “box to box”. I am an individual who has good time management skills, who is motivated to make good grades and you don’t have to worry about.
I am a versatile scorer. In 3 years and 71 ECNL, ODP and high school games I have found the back of the net 44 times from outside the eighteen (left and right footed), inside the box (left and right footed), on PKs, on free kicks 20 -45 yards out and bending corner kicks in. My shooting percentage is just under 50%.
I am an unselfish player who will look to put their team in scoring position. My 33 assists came from thru-balls, free kicks and corners.
