My high school season as a first year at Kimball Union Academy went very well. We played a very tough NEPSAC schedule that included six games against Class A and B teams, as well as two games against eventual Class C runner-up Brewster Academy. We finished 9-6-2. We made the New England Class C tournament final 8, but withdrew due to the loss of our student manager in a tragic car accident.
I started every game except the senior game and averaged about 70 minutes per game, I would estimate. I did not miss any games due to injury. I mostly played outside midfield as the 10 was occupied by a very dynamic post-grad and returning team captain. I finished with four assists and four goals, two from headers. I was named to the Lakes Region League all-star team (9 schools).
I plan to work hard in the off-season on skills and strength before playing club soccer for Upper Valley Lightning in the NH Soccer League in the early spring (Kimball Union has an indoor turf facility) and then once school ends, for my hometown club Summit, FC in the VT Soccer League coached by VT State University Men's Coach John O'Connor.
