Hi, my name is Siena Asiello. I am a rising Junior (2027) attending Thomas A. Edison High School located in Alexandria, Virginia. I currently play for Springfield (SYC) 2009 Girls Academy (GA) League team as an attacking midfielder, and am also the 2009G GA team representative on the Girls Academy League Advisory Panel. Although I prefer to play the 8 and 10, I am a versatile player with experience playing at the 6, 7 and 11. I aspire to play college soccer with an interest in majoring in Psychology (Sports). As far as school goes, I am an A student with the GPA of a 4.0 and the weighted GPA of a 4.1 at the end of my sophomore year. I have been playing soccer since the ripe age of 4, and I've always had a deep passion for the sport. Some of my earliest memories are of me playing soccer, and I don't think I could imagine life without it. Playing this sport for as long as I have, is what helped shape me into who I am today. Each experience with a different meaning and or life lesson. Ultimately, I have become a better teammate, harder worker, persistent person, and an overall leader. Over the years if I have learned anything at all it's that not every experience is good, but each life lesson is important. As of now I have returned to game play after all my hard work on ACL recovery. During my time off the field I've been involved in the Girls Academy Advisory Panel where I am actively advocating for my team to help and better the league. Throughout this entire process, I have realized the importance of balance and how much of an impact I can still make even when not able to play. I am a very coachable hard working player with great leadership. Some of my strengths include my awareness on/off the ball , passing, communication, playmaking, heading, and 1v1 attacking in the midfield. Overall I am a very committed player and I will bring these assets to any college I am fortunate to attend.
