Personal Statement
At the collegiate level, I am looking for a school that can provide a great academic and athletic atmosphere. Athletics are extremely important to me, I would like to be a part of a team where my teammates are challenging me, and coaches are making me better everyday through games and practices. I am a very hard worker, pushing myself to be the best that I can and improving my character through every situation and obstacle I face. On days where I do not have practice or games I do my best to stay active by going to the field to improve my shots and get touches on the ball. In games and practices I stay focused, and go as hard as I can while focusing on the fundamentals and technique to improve as a soccer player overall.
Off the field, academics are extremely important to me. I do my best to maintain a good GPA while being enrolled in difficult Honors classes. In school, I am extremely focused and use my time management, responsibility and work ethic to perform to the best of my ability. My transcript will show my ability to maintain a good GPA throughout my sophomore year as I finished with all A's, making Distinguished Honors for the fourth quarter. The fourth quarter of my sophomore year was difficult due to distance learning online, however, I looked at that scenario as a way to show my hard work and finish the year on a great note.
As a student athlete I feel as if I have multiple characteristics that distinctively distinguish me from other recruits. First, I am an identical twin. I am truly blessed to be a twin, my sister and I share so many personality traits such as work ethic and determination which we showcase when we play together on the field in both games and practices. As twins, we have incredible chemistry, we know where each other are on the field and we can work together to move the ball and have both assists and goals. Finally, another characteristic I feel separates me from other athletes is my love for the game. I've played basketball almost my entire life, and only started taking soccer very seriously relatively recently. After joining a travel team, putting in work everyday, and growing as a player on and off the field I can say I fell in love with the game of soccer and place it as a priority. I started playing travel for the first time in the last couple of years and my development as a player has truly amazed me, separating myself from other athletes and I truly cannot wait to play at the next level.
