Personal Statement

I really want to play college soccer and am looking for a school that best fits me academically and athletically. I love the game and am passionate about it. I always try my best, work hard throughout the game, and try to be selfless. I have good time management and have had a consistent 4.19 GPA every year, I do even better when I am involved in athletics. I also am a lifeguard and play field hockey for The Covenant School and have been a competitive swimmer for 10 years. College coaches that have seen me play say I have the ability to hold and pass the ball, have confidence in attacking defenders, and have great competitiveness. I have been told I have a good attacking mentality, I am good at making runs in behind, and trying to take on 1v1. They can tell I am not afraid to go to goal and say I work hard throughout the game.

I have had private sessions with various coaches in my area: Erick Altamiranda, Carol Bampoe, and Deesh Bhattal. I also do off season semi private athletic training with ADAPT (for speed, agility and strength) in my area founded by Mike Curtis, former NBA trainer and current UVA trainer. www.trainatadapt.com. I swim for my varsity team in winter, have competed in states since 8th grade and am a muti-record breaking relay swimmer for CITY Swim team in the Jefferson Swim League.
