Personal Statement
During my high school and then college career, my goal is to continue to maintain the balance I have struck between soccer and academics. I am passionate about soccer, and have trained relentlessly since becoming eligible for travel soccer. My training, which has taught me to take criticism and apply it to my game to make positive change, has often paid off, as evidenced by my invitation to an Id2 camp in Indiana the spring of 2017, as well as by making the district and state ODP teams in 2015 and 2016. Now that I play for a US Soccer Development Academy team, I am no longer eligible to participate in ODP or other non-DA soccer related activities. However, I continue to train and to set goals for each season.
I am equally dedicated to my studies and my hard work in the classroom has also paid off. I am an honor roll student with a 4.1 GPA while taking numerous Honors and Pre-AP classes. My intentions at a university would be to major in Biochemistry, and minor in Pre-Med, which would lead me to a career in the medical field.
