Personal Statement

Ever since I was a young girl I have had the dream to play soccer at a Collegiate level. In order for me to have the opportunity to reach my dream I knew that soccer would be my number one priority in life. I have worked endlessly to better myself through my travel team, numerous amounts of training, playing internationally, and at the high school level. When reaching my dream of playing at the collegiate level my main goal within the team is to become a team leader for others to look up to. My other aspirations at the collegiate level would be earning a degree in athletic training and giving back to the community through sports. My hard work and dedication to soccer and school have given me the opportunity to play internationally in Denmark at the Vildbjerg cup while also maintaining a 3.5 GPA  as a Freshman at Fresta Valley Christian School. Through the many experiences with soccer in my life I have become a flexible player stepping up and playing different positions when asked to and taking criticism from many coaches and using it to better myself. These aspects of my soccer career will make me a good candidate at the collegiate level because of my ability to adapt to the team, coaches, and other players.

  • Over the course of November 2018 through August 2019 I participated in a international tournament. In November of 2018 I tried out to showcase my position on the field for the coaches of the CCL United teams. After getting through that round of tryouts I then tried out for the international team. Once I was informed that I made the team I began practicing once a month with the other players to prepare for the tournament. On July 27th I traveled with the rest of the team to Denmark where we participated in friendly games for the first three days and trained with professional Danish coaches. The last four days of the trip we began the Vildbjerg Cup where placed second overall in the U-16 championship division. Throughout the tournament I started each game and received two awards one being MVP and the other being the leader of the team voted by my teammates.
