Hi there!
My name is Sophia Thompson and I am a Junior at Norfolk Academy. I have been playing soccer since I was three years old and have been in serious pursuit of soccer since then. I am humbled to play and love to make the most of every game, practice, and training session. Hard work is something I strive to put out daily on and off the field. Academics are very important to me and I love a good challenge in the classroom. I value my relationships with my teachers and will constantly meet with them, even just to catch up on life. I enjoy being a Peer Counselor at Norfolk Academy because I am able to give back and be able to help people in any way that I can.
I am a good candidate because I will put in the hard work day in and day out that it takes to play at the colligate level in college. I play aggressively and tacitly on the field. I am also someone who values relationships on and off the field. Chemistry is such an important part of the game between players in my opinion. When there is a good flow within the relationships, I believe there is an even better flow of the game itself. I am someone who always cheers others on and always tries to uplift the team or my peers in a positive way. I strive to be the player who changes the tempo of the game, as well as set an example on and off the field for the girls I am leading around me.
The reason I love playing soccer is because I love the idea of perserverance even when things might not go your way. I am a player, student, and person who always picks themself up no matter the circumstance. I am determined to persevere and endure any obstacle in my path.
