My goal is to graduate college and become a teacher, so I can help to make a difference in children's lives. In doing so, I'd like to continue playing the sport that I love and that I've been playing ever since I was 5 years old. Soccer has always been apart of me. Even before I joined a team, I would kick the ball around whenever my family and I would attended my older sisters games. Not only do I care about my soccer career, I do care greatly about my education. There is always the chance for an injury in the game that may take you out permanently and if so, you must have a back up plan. Many stellar athletes go to college on exceptional scholarships, but they aren't too concerned about their education. Next thing you know, that player blows out their knee, or tears an ACL and can no longer play the sport they love. Due to the lack of care for their education, this athlete doesn't have a backup career for themself. I am not that kind of athlete. Unlike the others, I will have an education and a career set up for myself in case of injury.
