Personal Statement
As a younger athlete, I was always active. I played many sports and loved being outdoors. Around the age of eight, I began playing soccer. I instantly fell in love with the game, and from then, it has always been an important part of who I am. Throughout my soccer experience, I have learned many valuable lessons that have made me who I am as a player and who I am in general. I have learned leadership, confidence, passion, trust, teamwork, creativity, intensity, consistency, and hard work.
Soccer has not only taught me how to be a better version of myself but motivates me to try my best in school. I am currently unsure of what academic career path and college I wish to pursue. Growing up in a small town on the Olympic Peninsula has given me a wonderful place to grow and learn, but I am open to exploring different areas after high school. I am looking for a college that will push me to the boundaries. My goal is to attend a college that will challenge me academically and athletically and where I can contribute to the team. Playing college soccer is something I aspire to do, and I believe I have what it takes.
