Emma Gassman '23 Recruiting Profile

I have been swimming since second grade, and it has been a constant part of my life since then. I would love to continue this trend and go to college on a swim team. I have always cared about my grades, and always put my full effort in, to receive good grades in return. I’ve had many coaches and adapted and evolved greatly to each one. As an older kid in my club I’m constantly in a leadership position and am a role model to inspire the younger kids. Being an Alaska Native, deep-rooted in Sitka, Alaska, I have lived here all my life, but am excited for a new experience in a new place. I am dedicated and spend lots of my time at the pool, and in turn lots of time with my teammates. I’m easy to get along with and enjoy meeting new people. Through all my time swimming, I’ve learned that I can push my limits and look forward to swimming competitively in school for a great coach that will push me farther.
