Even at a young age, I loved swimming and took lessons and joined the swim team for a new experience. In 2017, I began taking my swimming career seriously. There were many hard times when I could not drop any time, but I found out that this sport is one that is greatly mind over matter, which is why I kept a positive attitude. I learned that this not only made me a better athlete, but also encouraged my teammates to do well, too. I have met many new people through swimming that challenged me in the pool and also helped me grow as a person, which is why I look forward to continuing my swim journey in college. Swim has taken up a large portion of my life and my heart, but I also highly value my education and always do my best to get the best grades possible. I take challenging courses and try to push myself physically and academically, to reach my highest potential. I am devoted and committed to both my studies and swimming, and hope to find a college where I can succeed in reaching my goals and aspirations.
