Hello! My name is Emily Smith and I am a Sophomore at Highlands Ranch High School in Highlands Ranch, Colorado. I've been swimming on recreational summer teams since I was 5. I started competitive club swimming at age 10, but I became invested in the sport two years ago. Swimming has given me so much, it has been an outlet for me and I have fallen in love with the sport. In the 2021 season I pushed through making the 4A and 5A state cut for the 100 breaststroke, becoming a Top 20 swimmer at the 4A Colorado State Championships. I swim for the CAC Stingrays during the club season and my teammates and coach have always pushed me to be my best. I am very driven and a hard worker, when I put my mind to something I get it done. I'm very passionate about my academics, maintaining a 3.7 GPA while in Honors/AP classes and work everyday to improve my grades. I believe I am a very resilient person when it comes to my drive to be the best I can, I don't give up when things don't go as planned, and it benifits my athletics in the best way possible.
