My athletic background has had an extremely strong impact on my high school educational experience and personal life. Over the last three years I have developed three important skills being: a motivator, a great team player, and a leader. Over my years of swimming I have made many lifelong friends from my high school team as well as my club team. I believe that exhibiting great sportsmanship is an important measure of one's character. I am fortunate to have my father and my paternal grandparents to support me in all aspects of my life especially swimming.
In 2018 I had a life changing clinic with Olympians Josh Davis and Elizabeth Beisel. One of my biggest takeaways from the clinic was swimming is one of the most arduous sports. This was a pivotal point in my scholastic and athletic career. At this point I decided I wanted to swim as a collegiate athlete.
“Learning to be comfortable being uncomfortable is the key to being a next level swimmer.”- Elizabeth Beisel Three Time Olympian
After much thought and research I have decided that my area of study would lean towards the medical or dental fields. I would like to find an institution that has a strong focus on academia as well as a solid swim program. I haven’t always been the best student but I work very hard to try and juggle practices six days a week sometimes twice a day along with a job, school, and volunteering.
