Since as long as I can remember I've been a very persistent student and athlete. Starting with my academics; I have always pushed myself to work harder than the average student and my hard work and persistence has been reflected through my high school transcripts. At the young age of 5 I started swimming in a club (Santa Teresa) in El Paso, TX, where I discovered my passion for swimming, since then I've had the opportunity to swim in Bogota, Colombia as well as Orlando, Florida and now Puerto Rico. Now, here in Puerto Rico is where I've had my biggest achievement starting with the National Championships of Puerto Rico (LCM), my first year swimming here I qualified for three events, thee include: 50 back, 50 free, and 100 free. The following year where I competed in 13-14 category, I qualified for 7 events, these including: 50 back, 100 back, 50 breaststroke, 100 breaststroke, 50 free, 100 free, and 200 free; making finals in the 50 back, and coming in top 15 in 50 breast, 100 breast, 50 back, and 100 back. I hope to continue competing in National level in the future and to continue being a honor roll student.
