Swimming has been my passion since 2009 at the age of 6. I am the person of today thanks to swimming; I am disciplined, unique, and positive. At 13 I went through a strong psychological moment, but I never stopped swimming. That situation that I had in 2017 at the age of 13, made me a better person and athlete, I have been an inspiration to many people since that moment. And that's my goal in college, to improve my times, become a better person, and to help others. In addition to swimming, I also do extracurricular activities such as "Fundación COCO", which is a cancer foundation that visits cancer patients in the hospital twice a month in San Juan, Puerto Rico. That is my other passion, visiting these patients, and help them bring joy to them as they go through that difficult situation in their lives, which is cancer disease. I have belonged to the math, science, and women's empowerment club at my school and I have learned how to manage my study time better together with swimming and extracurricular activities. Overall, I hope that one day my dream will come true of representing a great university in the United States, being a great swimmer, leaving my mark, and impacting lives.
