I am a 5'10" swimmer from Mandeville, Louisiana, and will be graduating in May 2012. I have been on my current high school team for 3 years, after moving to Mandeville in the fall of 2009 from Perth, Australia. I have been swimming competitively for over 12 years, in locations all over the world. Prior to 10th grade, I had been living all my life overseas in London, Nigeria, Indonesia, and Australia. I am looking for a school with a high quality academic program as well as a strong swimming program where my skills would be a good fit and I would be able to contribute to the team as a freshman. I hope to become a veterinarian, so I am looking at majoring in zoology or biology. I currently hold a GPA of 4.1 weighted, and 3.7 unweighted. In 10th grade, I was voted MVP of my high school team, and won the Louisiana State High School Championship in 100Y backstroke with a time of 58.65, which qualified me for sectionals. Currently, I am the 2011 Louisiana State Short Course 100 backstroke champion (57.56) and am a member of two medley relay teams that set the all time State record. I attended the Southern Sectionals at Texas A&M in early March of 2011, where I cut my 100B time to 00:57.44. In June I swam in the International Grand Prix Meet in Santa Clara. Swimming with people like Michael Phelps and Stephanie Rice was a fantastic experience for me. In July, I attended the Southern Zones Championship as a member of the Louisiana team. I am very pleased to have achieved a Junior Nationals qualifying time of 55.98 in the 100 back (SCY). As a senior, I am a team captain, and am working hard to win the State Championship in November.
