I have been swimming since I was 9 years old. It has been very rewarding to me as an athlete and as a person. It has made me a determined and self motivated individual who wants to be the best that I can be. I love this sport with all of my heart. I have swam outside in either 100 degree or 20 degree weather two times a day for as long as I can remember. Swimming has taught me that it takes discipline and hard work to achieve your goals. It has also taught me what it means to be a part of a team, what team work and leadership are about, and most importantly, it has taught me to appreciate the lasting relationships I have developed with the individuals I have spent so much time with over the years. The two years that I have been at Northshore High School we have been state champions. I have been an individual state champion in the 100 and 200 breastroke. I hold the Hurricane Swim Club records for the 100 and 200 breastroke as well. My dream is to swim at the next level, college. I believe that with the proper technique coaching and weight training I can contribute to the program and to the coach that wants to take the chance with me. I will be an outstanding student-athlete for the college that I represent. Along with swimming I also want to get the best education possible. I would like to study in the field of Sports Medicine or Physical Therapy. Once I leave college I want to give back to young althletes what swimming has taught me,  possibly as a coach or a mentor. In conslusion, I want to continue my swimming career at a college or university somewhere in the south and recieve the best education possible.
