I am a dedicated student athlete who plans to major in biology/pre-medicine while swimming during my undergraduate years. Breaststroke and sprint freestyle are my best strokes. I will focus on improving all of my events this coming short course season. The two most important season goals for my junior year are to drop my 100 Breaststroke time from 1:05.74 to 1:03.50 and my 50 Freestyle time from 24.56 to 23.50.
Swimming has become my passion since I started club swimming in the fourth grade with a local club team, the Sea Dragons. The Sea Dragon’s pool eventually closed and the team shut down so I joined Streamline Aquatics Club (STAC) and have been swimming with STAC for the past several years. I have been very fortunate to swim for two teams with very positive and caring coaches who have supported great team chemistry. I also have several years of experience in competitive gymnastics, competitive dance, as well as lacrosse.
Biology and Chemistry have been my two favorite subjects in high school. I completed EMT training this past summer and volunteer for my local First Aid Squad as a licensed EMT. My love for helping people with medical training came from my mother, who is a registered nurse. I also enjoy math, history, and reading. I am looking for a school with a strong biological science program with a great swim team for an overall rewarding college experience.
