Hi! My name is Wilhelmina. I have been a swimmer since I was seven years old. I enjoy being part of a team and having the ability to push myself beyond what I think I can do. Other than loving the water, I enjoy being creative, which includes drawing and painting in my free time. I value hard work, which I make clear through my dedication to swimming as well as in school. Swimming has helped me see how you cannot put a limit on your potential when you haven't put in the work to see how far you can truly go. I have made a decision to not only participate in the sport of swimming as an athlete, but as a junior coach, a USA Swimming Junior Official, and a USA Swimming Athlete Representative. I aspire to continue my swimming in college as I have promised myself to never settle for something if you know that you haven't done everything in your power to be the best you can be. Being on a team is one of my favorite things about swimming. The ability to share experiences, laughs, and the lane at practice creates irreplaceable friendships that last a lifetime. I would describe myself as a kind soul, as I can always put myself in someone else's shoes and understand how they feel. With that, I like to create a light, bubbly environment, which especially helps when muscling through a hard set during practice. But one thing that would describe me the best, is my work ethic. I am rooted in hard work, because if you don't push your limits you will never get better. It is important for me as someone who takes pride in swimming and in school, that I surround myself with people who also value hard work, because then we can all push each other to rise even farther past our limits.
