Natasha Hurff '24 Recruiting Profile

I have been swimming for longer than I can remember, and I first joined the swim team at the age of nine. My goal has always been to go as far as swimming will take me, and swimming in college has continually been something I work towards. While I found success at the age group level, I have always wanted to continue swimming through high school and college. 

I am highly competitive at meets and it is this competitiveness that drives me to work very hard in practice while still making sure to be the best and most supportive teammate I can. I always work to be coachable and take any and all advice from coaches, apply it as soon as possible, and continue to work on the skill until it is second nature.

In the classroom, I am constantly pushing myself to achieve the best possible results, spurred on by my competitive high school environment. I have to work hard in order to complete all of my work while still allotting time for swim practice, but my years on the swim team have allowed me to develop strong time management skills. Outside of the classroom, I am a member of my school’s chapter of Model UN and I volunteer on the weekends with Therapeutic Horses of Saratoga. Additionally, during summer and winter breaks, I work at Skidmore College Stables.

I want to attend a college where I will be able to push myself both in the pool and academically. I am open to any and all options and my goal is to find the best college possible for me both academically and athletically.
