Marissa Lugo '18 Recruiting Profile

My name is Marissa Lugo, I am sixteen years old and I’m going to start my twelfth grade in The Palmas Academy, Puerto Rico. This is to inform you of my interest in swimming during my college years. Swimming has had a major role in my life, and I would like to keep developing my swimming career during college.

I’ve been swimming since I was eight years old. Not only have I represented my hometown team, Humacao, but also I have represented the national team of Puerto Rico. I’ve been to Barbados twice, Florida, Bahamas and now Trinidad and Tobago, all of this for the CCCAN and CISC. Also I am working in my times to attend the Juvenile World Championships. My specialties are breaststroke and individual medley where I have national records in some of them as you can see in athlete profile.

My interest now is to continue my studies in a university receiving an athlete scholarship to fulfill my dreams in becoming a professional. I know that I have good qualities as a swimmer and student to offer to your institution.
